Katherine Heigl is open about being raised in "a the white bubble." She also shares how this experience has affected the way she raises adopted children that are multiracial. The actress "Firefly Lane" spoke to an interviewer that it didn't matter the color of her skin to her. After meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she noticed the differences between how others were treated by her. In my interview, I asked Meg how she was treated when in public, in the presence of or without parents, the treatment was very completely different. She responded "Oh yes! All the times!" Heigl talked to parents about how she realized the naivety of her actions. The singer became angry at the time, and chose to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl, who has been with Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black, in 2009.
